Life Isn’t About Waiting For The Storm To Pass

Learning how to teach archery in the rain:  It’s challenging for the  trainer to teach in and for the instructor candidates to learn in.  But this group of Instructors took on the challenge with great attitudes and they learned the dance of teaching, how to empower others to let go of a string and release an arrow.  I’m very proud or them!

During a quick break when staff had come down with some snacks for us the class decided to teach me a few moves.

Out of about a 100 archery instructor classes that I have taught over the past 9 years I have only been caught in the rain twice.  I had gotten the weather wrong this day and so I had not talked with the camp director about an inside alternative.

Everyone had great attitudes and a huge desire to learn and the rain felt good in the heat.  It took a day for the equipment to dry out lol.  I didn’t have any rain gear with me so the camp gave me a shirt and I so appreciated the dry shirt for the ride home. I stopped somewhere to buy socks and change my shoes before I started my 2 hour drive. But Just remember, life is not about waiting for the storm to pass 🙂
